DUBAI: Set to open at the end of November 2024, Sexy Fish Dubai is preparing to dazzle as it takes its place atop the new Innovation One building in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Against the sparkling backdrop of the Dubai skyline, this celebrity-favourite venue promises a stunning setting with unique offerings.

The Dubai launch follows the success of Sexy Fish locations in Mayfair, London, Miami, and Manchester, bringing the brand's iconic dining experience to the UAE for the first time.

An underwater world of art and design

Guests will arrive through a private lift that opens directly into a mesmerising reception area inspired by the ocean. Here, an aqua blue mirrored desk stands against a vibrant coral reef wall, crafted with over two million hand-painted coral pieces.

Towering over the scene is an octopus sculpture by Damien Hirst, setting the tone for the immersive aquatic theme that continues throughout the venue.

Inside, the main restaurant features Hirst’s artworks, including bronze mermaids that frame a show-stopping bar made of onyx stones and lit with custom-designed fish lights.

Visitors can also take in panoramic views of DIFC from the wrap-around terrace, or enjoy a VIP terrace with a private bar, perfect for hosting special events.

Opening late November 2024, Sexy Fish Dubai will offer nightly dinner, with lunch and its famous Sushi Brunch debuting early 2025.

As Martin Brudnizki Design Studios describes it, “Encapsulated as ‘The Pearl of the Gulf,’ Sexy Fish Dubai is emblematic of an enchanting underwater realm… through a rich, aquatic colour story and tactile finishings, the restaurant’s design brings together a harmonious blend of marine elements, realised with contemporary elegance.”

Why Sexy Fish’s menu is a must-try

Helmed by Sexy Fish’s Global Chef Director, Bjoern Weissgerber, the restaurant’s Japanese-inspired menu combines the highest quality ingredients with delicate flavours and creative flair.

Guests can look forward to a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, and robata-grilled meats and fish. Dubai-exclusive dishes include Scallop Ceviche with Cucumber and Shiso, and Beef Carpaccio with Uni and Bone Marrow.

Weissgerber shares, “We take pride in pushing boundaries to explore new dimensions of flavour, creativity, culinary innovation, presentation, and service.”

The decadent dessert selection promises sweet surprises, including a signature cheesecake and golden treasure boxes of chocolates.

Famed for its iconic desserts, the selection of sweets on offer are sure to entice, with surprise treasure boxes filled with golden chocolates, the coolest dates and an original Sexy Fish special – the ultimate cheesecake.

Revolutionising the cocktail scene

Sexy Fish Dubai will also bring its award-winning UNITY cocktail menu to the city. Overseen by Global Director of Beverage Xavier Landais, UNITY features cocktails based on a single flavour profile, offering guests options for alcohol-free, low-alcohol, or full-strength serves. New flavours created exclusively for Dubai include Coconut, Date, and Mandarin.

Guests can also explore an impressive wine list, including the Middle East’s largest Japanese whisky collection and a Champagne list featuring 100 varieties, with a special emphasis on boutique growers.

When to visit Sexy Fish Dubai

The restaurant will open for dinner service seven days a week starting at the end of November 2024. Plans to introduce lunch service are set for January 2025, with the launch of their renowned Sushi Brunch anticipated for early 2025.

Sexy Fish Dubai is poised to become a landmark on Dubai’s dining scene, seamlessly blending culinary mastery, artistic ambiance, and stylish sophistication into a must-visit experience.
